Hurray for the summer harvest! Yes, it is that time of year again when all of the regions are in full harvest of summer's bounty. How long the northern regions have waited for juicy heirloom tomatoes, succulent peaches, plump blueberries, and more! Seasonal eating is so rewarding with flavors and quality that simply cannot be matched year round. This is why we at The Olive Tap strive to bring you the freshest olive oil year round through a fall olive harvest in the Northern Hemisphere and a spring olive harvest in the Southern Hemisphere. We also enjoy the richness of eating local, which is why you will find us at one or many of your local farmers markets. Fresh olive oil, aged balsamic vinegar, and quality salts and spices are all that these local goodies need to shine on your table. The farm-to-table movement is making a big comeback from big name chefs to your local cafe. With Olive Tap shops located throughout several regions of the USA, our products complement a wide variety of regional farm-to-table cuisines. Would you like to try some for yourself? Let's take a quick culinary voyage to some of our Olive Tap shops...

Florida: Think fresh seafood, mangoes, and avocados! Our Delray Beach location enjoys this seasonal Tropical Shrimp Ceviche, while the Palm Beach Gardens team sips on this refreshing Balsamic Lemonade Cocktail year round. Taking advantage of Florida's climate, you'll find The Olive Tap at these farmers market locations year round.

North Carolina: Travel up the coast a bit and we have the richness of the Carolina's. Your first thought maybe Carolina BBQ, but we are thinking coastal and good ol' Southern cuisine. Cook up some of the flavors of North Carolina in your own kitchen with this Wilted Kale, Sweet Potato, and Bacon dish. Carolina's coastal flavors are celebrated throughout both states and can be enjoyed with this Shrimp 'N Grits Salad recipe.

Rhode Island: This smallest state in our nation is certainly big on shellfish! You may visit a local farmers market or dig the clams yourself to make the quintessential Rhode Island Clam dish. You'll need Olive Tap Olive Oil to make this dish truly special, so be sure to visit us at any of these three farmers markets.

Pennsylvania: Not only will you find The Olive Tap at the Pittsburgh Public Market in the historic market district, you can find us at several farmers markets and events. The Pittsburgh team loves to pick up local bakery and seasonal fruit from the market to make this irresistible Grilled Pound Cake with Dark Chocolate Balsamic and Fresh Fruit dessert.

Ohio: Not just cows and corn, Ohio's farmers markets are teaming with everything from local bison, morels, elderberries, ground cherries...and of course plenty of sweet corn! The standards are there too...cauliflower, candy onions, juicy tomatoes, and fresh basil come together to make this veggie packed Cauliflower Crust Pizza. You'll also find us all over town in one of the many farmers markets and festivals.

Illinois: Celebrate the great state where The Olive Tap began with this party ready recipe of Peach and Tomato Shooters. Perfect for any summer day! And with our multiple locations in Crystal Lake, Downer’s Grove, and Long Grove, you are sure to find us at several farmers markets and events.

Iowa: Enjoy the best of the Midwest with the newest member of The Olive Tap family in Ankeny, Iowa. This land-locked state likes their meat and they like it local and fresh. Complemented with only olive oil, balsamic, and spices, this Smoked Pork Tenderloin is so tender and delicious, you'll enjoy it in any state. Shop for local, artisanal meat when you visit us at these three farmers markets.

Colorado: Colorado cuisine is a blend of Western, Southwestern, Mexican, and American influences. In all aspects of Colorado cuisine, fresh, seasonal and local reign supreme. With the abundance of Palisade Peaches in our picturesque town of Manitou Springs, we cannot resist making this Grilled Peaches with Ice Cream and Balsamic Glaze.
