Premium, high quality "all-purpose" EVOO. I've purchased this oil a couple times now and I'm never disappointed. It's excellent in marinades, dressings, pasta entreés, pasta salads, sautéed vegetables, roasting vegetables.... I could go on and on!! Highly recommended by me!
When I first visited The Olive Tap website, I was faced with trying to decide which oils to buy. So I decided to call them up! I wound up buying 3 different kinds after telling the representative the type of oils I like.
One of the 3 oils I bought was Ascolano! I figured I couldn't go wrong getting such an award winning oil, and I was right!
I love flavorful, green tasting oils because they taste so fresh. And I think you would be hard pressed to find an oil any grassier or green tasting than Ascolano! It was exactly what I wanted.
I don't use EVOO for cooking or putting on foods. I ONLY use it for general health reasons and I take 2-3 Tbsp per day. I prefer it to have as high a polyphenol count as I can find, because that's really the only reason I take it. The more green, peppery and cough-producing, the better!
Unfortunately, The Olive Tap doesn't list the polyphenol count on all their oils, but after tasting Ascolano, I would think it should definitely have a high count. I'm very glad I decided to try it.
