The term 'jerk' comes from the Spanish 'charqui,' the flavorful dried or grilled meat made in the Caribbean over open flames. Originally used mainly on pork and goat meat, Jamaican Jerk has become wildly popular on any kind of meat or meat replacer, but especially chicken. Our Jamaican Jerk Seasoning imparts all the key flavors of 'charqui' like allspice, thyme, and of course, chiles. This sweet-hot-tangy mixture is sure to make your mouth water and add excitement to any dish.
We like to use it as a marinade--mix 1.5 oz. Jerk Seasoning with 1/2 C. oil, 3/4 C. water, and 2 T. vinegar; rub on meat; grill and serve with a sprinkle of lime juice! Add to chicken, fish, beef, sausage, and tofu before grilling. Packaged in a clear glass jar with a flapper lid for both scoop and shake dispensing. 2.8 oz

I used this seasoning on my grilled foods & it gives life to the meat! This has to be the best seasoning ever! It has a kick with a bold tasteful flavor. I highly recommend this product. To bad it's never in stock.
Thank you for the review...We work hard to keep items in stock, however, we do occassionally have a backorder situation.
