For a salad, combine Pear Balsamic Vinegar with a light to medium EVOO to bring out the Pear flavor.  Our Basil, Sorrento Lemon and Rosemary Olive Oils pair well with Pear Balsamic Vinegar for delectable vinaigrettes.  Try sliced pear pieces and Blue or Gorgonzola cheese on mixed greens or Spinach topped with pecans, walnuts or pine nuts.  Use it as a glaze for ham, chicken and turkey.

    This was my first balsamic vinegar dressing used for my salads. I was very surprised and pleased by the sweet crisp taste. I will be following Dr. Esselstyn's reverse heart disease program which is primarily vegan so I will be eating a lot of salads and this dressing is just right. I can’t wait to try the other types especially the lemon balsamic vinegar and the peach too.

    When I was living in Kenai, Alaska, a caterer there taught me THE most wonderful salad recipe that required pear balsamic vinegar. It's been ages since I've made it because I haven't found a pear balsamic that tasted good enough to use. I can't give you the exact amounts, but just play it by ear as the proportions are based on your personal preference.

    Apple and Pear Salad with Wensleydale Cheese with Pear and Apple:

    Romaine hearts
    1 Fuji or Granny Smith apple, cored/peeled/large-diced
    1 D'Anjou or Bosc pear, cored/peeled/large-diced
    1/2 - 3/4 cup crumbled Wensleydale with Pear and Apple (I bought this from
    Candied pecans (Trader Joe's)
    Optional: Hard-cooked eggs, craisins, prosciutto
    Vinaigrette made from this pear balsamic vinegar, a mildly fruity olive oil, a smidgen of Dijon mustard and salt and black pepper to taste
    Toss all but the vinaigrette until combined. Dress gently right before serving.

    I don't like salads. I LOVE this salad. Try it! You'll be hooked like I was.

    This is my favorite balsamic vinegar! Trying to limit oil in my diet, and I use this as my salad dressing on my salads. I like some of the other vinegars as well, but keep coming back to this one!

    This pear vinegar is SO delicious. I just opened it and I may as well order another one now since I know it will be gone soon! On salad, on fruit, on anything, the taste is crisp and delicious. I can't wait to try all of my other purchases since the first one I opened is off the charts .
